Stinger EG RS plastic cap nails secure underlayment and housewrap with a wide plastic cap that holds material flat against the sheathing. The line comes in mill finish with two size options: 1 in. nails, 3000 per bucket, or 1-1/4 in. nails, 2500 per bucket. Choose the length for underlayment and cap-nail applications on residential roofs.
Coverage & How Much You Need
A 3000-count bucket of 1 in. caps fastens roughly 15 squares of underlayment at 12 in. spacing (about 200 sq ft per 1000 caps); the 1-1/4 in. 2500-count bucket covers about 12.5 squares at the same spacing. Adjust spacing to local wind requirements.
Fit and Compatibility
Use where cap-nailable underlayment, synthetic felts or housewrap is installed. For fastest installation, these caps suit cap nailers in the Stinger line; the nailer itself is sold separately. Confirm fastener length requirements with your underlayment manufacturer.
