In the shop, keep the protective film on film-finish variants until final installation to prevent scratches during handling and postforming. High gloss and textured gloss faces show substrate telegraphing, so sand and seal the MDF or particleboard core flat before bonding. Use 350 Postform grade with a compatible radius edge and always balance the panel with a backer laminate on the underside.
Wear gloves and eye protection when routing or trimming laminate; cut edges are sharp and chips can fly during machining.
