Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
A prefabricated vent-and-collar combination saves field labor versus forming flashing on site. Match the vent size to the pipe and choose the color closest to your shingles for a low-profile look. Keep the four-sided openings unobstructed when installing to preserve the full 38 sq. in. of airflow.
Roof work carries fall hazards; follow proper fall-protection practices and seal the flange to the roof surface per the manufacturer's instructions.
