Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk

D5 is a good choice for larger wall expanses where wider boards create a smoother, less busy shadow line, while D4 or D4DL suit smaller elevations or a more traditional look. Use matching Royal starter strip, corners, and trim for a complete weather-tight system, and follow nailing specifications to achieve the 160 mph wind performance. Choose Chromatix Premium shades if long-term color hold is a priority for south- or west-facing walls.

Install per the manufacturer's nailing and fastening instructions to achieve rated wind performance, and use fall protection when working at elevated wall heights.
