Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
A 260,000 BTU torch with electronic ignition is a solid choice for production torch-down crews installing modified bitumen membrane. The 16 in extension tube improves standoff and keeps heat away from the operator. Always leak-test the regulator, hose and POL connection before the first firing each day.
Follow all LP-gas and fire-safety requirements: leak-test connections, keep a fire extinguisher on the roof, and never leave a lit torch unattended.
Order the Roofmaster Torchmaster Electronic Torch kit for reliable 260,000 BTU ignition on your next torch-applied roofing job.
