Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk

Order the clip in the same color and profile as your downspout so fastenings disappear into the run. Use the 3 in. x 4 in. version with large-volume leaders and the 2 in. x 3 in. version on standard residential runs. Fasten into solid framing or masonry anchors, not just siding, so the pipe stays secure in wind.

Use fasteners appropriate for the wall substrate and follow ladder safety when working above ground level.

Pick a Mastic .024 aluminum downspout clip in your color and size to secure your downspout run.
