Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
For closet fit-outs, spec the 1-5/8 in. projection when hooks must clear door trim or shelving above; it hangs hangers and heavy robes with more clearance than the flatter double hook style. Space hooks at least 6 in. apart on side walls so coats do not overlap. Matte black is a good match for oil-rubbed-bronze-adjacent schemes without the sheen.
Verify the hook is anchored into solid wood or with suitable anchors before loading it, and wear eye protection while drilling and driving fasteners.
