Gaco Western GacoPatch Silicone Roof Patch Sealant, Flashing Grade, White (2 Gallon Pail)
GacoPatch is a flashing-grade, stand-alone silicone roof sealant for permanent patching of asphalt, single-ply, metal and most existing coated roofs. This white, flashing-grade formulation is supplied in a pail with a lever-locking lid for one-step application. It needs no primer, reinforcement, or top coat on most substrates.
Key Features:
- No primer needed: Reduces labor time and eliminates the cost of primers, tapes, and top coats over most substrates.
- Permanent repair: Contains no asphalts or acrylics and remains a long-term repair solution.
- UV stable: Does not require a top coat and will not chalk, crack, or peel.
- Damp-surface application: Can be applied to damp surfaces once standing water is removed.
- Flashing grade: Fabric reinforcement is not normally required; horizontal patches even over 1/2 in. thick need no extra steps.
- Permanently flexible: Remains flexible even under ponding water.
- Multiple applications: Use on control joints, coping joints, fishmouths, gutter seams, small membrane holes and surface cracks.

Choose GacoPatch when a roof patch needs to outlast asphalt- or acrylic-based mastics: the silicone chemistry stays flexible and UV stable without a top coat. Clean the repair area and remove standing water before application, and use sacrificial tape on control joints, coping joints and surface cracks as the manufacturer notes. For horizontal patches thicker than 1/2 in., no additional reinforcement or steps are required. If your project has a low-VOC requirement, spec the GacoFlex GacoPatch Compliant version instead.
Work from a stable, dry roof surface, remove standing water before application, and review the product data sheet and safety data sheet before use.
