Order valley caps in the exact DECRA color as the field tiles so fade characteristics match over time. Install over compatible valley underlayment per DECRA's system details and keep fasteners within the cap's nailing zone so thermal movement is not restricted. For mixed-color roofs, the valley cap typically follows the field tile color unless the design calls for a contrast trim.
Stone-coated steel trim edges can be sharp; wear gloves and use fall protection when working at the valley.
