Coverage & How Much You Need:
Coverage is determined by the silicone coating system being tinted, not the colorant itself; follow the coating's tint ratio on the colorant label and technical data sheet to calculate how many quarts a job requires.
Fit and Compatibility:
Formulated for APOC silicone roof coatings and requires the correct base: standard white silicone for some colors, deep tint base silicone for others, as stated on each label. Using the wrong base can cause shade variances.

Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
Always verify the tint base printed on the label before adding colorant; mismatched bases are the most common cause of off-shade batches. Mix thoroughly with a low-speed drill paddle until the color is uniform, and batch-tint full pails at once to keep large roofs consistent. Keep a quart of each job color on hand for touch-ups later.
Wear gloves and eye protection when mixing coatings and colorants and follow the coating SDS for safe handling.
