Larger worktable features: miter gauge T-slots for improved gauge stability; new table carriage with dual tilt locks and wider support tubes for added rigidity: plus two adjustable, interchangeable direct-reading rip fence scales
New 22" x 7-3/8" rigid extension table top is more than 120% larger than the 18-3/8" x 4" Model 500 extension table top, providing added workpiece support and working precision
Two 22" x 7-3/8" floating extension tables slide on connecting tubes and lock into position anywhere between the main worktable and the rigid extension table
Four 27" long steel connecting tubes slip through the worktable and extension table rails and tie the table system components together with knob-style locks
2 telescoping legs with swiveling ends extend to 44-1/2" and lock at any height in-between with a quick twist to provide outboard support for floating extension table connecting tubes
New larger 24-1/2" long x 2-1/2" thick rip fence includes a double T-slot on its top surface plus another T-slot in each side for attaching shop-made jigs and other accessories - 2 levers lock it at the front and rear of the worktable with a quick flip
New saw guard system featuring a see-through upper guard with built-in depth-of-cut indicator, European-style riving knife and anti-kickback device and a new lower guard with a 2-1/2" diameter dust port that also accommodates the shopsmith sanding disc
New 2-position lathe tool rest arm featuring quick-acting, lever-style adjustment locks and a new steel miter gauge bar featuring a T-slot washer to prevent tip-out along with provide added rigidity
