The Eaton 200 Amp double pole, type BR enclosed breaker contains a circuit breaker installed inside a weatherproof steel enclosure. The product is designed to serve as a main disconnect and protective device for feeder circuits. The unit is front operable and is capable of being padlocked in the off position. Guide

Before you buy a breaker

  1. 1

    Match the panel

Find the brand and series on the label inside the panel door. Homeline and QO are both Square D, and they do not interchange.

  2. 2

    Match the wire

    The breaker protects the wire. For copper: 14 AWG on 15 A, 12 AWG on 20 A, 10 AWG on 30 A.

  3. 3

    Protection

Standard, AFCI (arc fault), GFCI (ground fault) or dual function. Your local code says which circuits need which.

  4. 4

    Tandem and quad

Two circuits in one space, only in the slots the panel label allows.
