Details & specifications.

From the maker · Siemens’s description

The Siemens 20 Amp 2 in. Double-Pole Combination AFCI Circuit Breaker is intended to mitigate the effects of arcing faults by de-energizing the circuit when an arc-fault is detected. The breaker is designed to protect against line-to-ground arcs, line-to-neutral arcs and series arcs to help protect your home from an electrical fire. AFCI’s detect arcing faults (an unintentional arcing condition in a circuit) that standard circuit breakers are unable to detect. The device is intended to mitigate the effects of arcing faults by functioning to de-energize the circuit when an arc-fault is detected.

  • Use to reduce the risk of electrical fires caused by arc faults
  • Detects all 3 types of arc faults
  • 120/240 VAC
  • 10,000 AIR
  • Suitable for use with 120 VAC fluorescent lighting
  • SWD rated
  • ANSI certified and CSA and UL listed

Guide

Before you buy a breaker

  1. 1

    Match the panel

Find the brand and series on the label inside the panel door. Homeline and QO are both Square D, and they do not interchange.

  2. 2

    Match the wire

    The breaker protects the wire. For copper: 14 AWG on 15 A, 12 AWG on 20 A, 10 AWG on 30 A.

  3. 3

    Protection

Standard, AFCI (arc fault), GFCI (ground fault) or dual function. Your local code says which circuits need which.

  4. 4

    Tandem and quad

Two circuits in one space, only in the slots the panel label allows.
