Portals Plus Deck-Mate #3 Pipe Flashing for Metal Roofs - Gray, 1/4 in. to 4 in. Openings
Portals Plus Deck-Mate #3 is a compression-seal pipe flashing for metal roof and wall systems, sized for 1/4 in. to 4 in. schedule 40 piping in gray. Its stepped profile creates a mechanical seal without caulk, and reinforcing ribs maintain shape while accepting a stainless steel clamp. Sold individually.
Key Features:
- Compression Seal: A stepped profile creates a compression seal between schedule 40 piping and the flashing.
- Reinforcing Ribs: Proper reinforcing ribs let the flashing maintain rigidity and its shape.
- Clamp Ready: The stepped profile and ribs together properly accommodate the use of a stainless steel clamp.
- No Caulk Needed: Unlike caulk-sealed penetrations, the NRCA states caulk should never be used as the primary sealer of a penetration.
- Metal Roof Ready: Designed specifically for metal roof and wall systems.

Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
On standing-seam and other metal systems, a compression-style pipe boot like the Deck-Mate beats caulk-only boots because the stepped profile seals mechanically as the pipe moves. Size the unit to the pipe diameter range and secure it with a stainless clamp per the design. Keep rib orientation per the installation instructions so rigidity is preserved on sloped panels.
Follow roof-safety and fall-protection practices when working around penetrations on metal roofing.
