Coverage & How Much You Need:
Average coverage is 50 to 70 sq ft per gallon per ply, so one 4.7-gallon pail yields roughly 235 to 330 sq ft per ply depending on substrate and conditions. Use a 1/4 in. notched squeegee or trowel for squeegee/trowel application.
Fit and Compatibility:
For multi-ply BUR, APP and SBS systems only; do not use in single-ply TPO, PVC or EPDM systems. Use with fully coated nonporous felts such as JM GlasBase Plus, DynaBase, DynaPly, TRICOR S, BICOR S and JM APP Base Sheet; do not use with GlasPly IV, GlasPly Premier or APP products with a polyolefin burn-off film. Sold separately: JM Asphalt Primer for masonry surfaces.

Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
This adhesive is the cold-process backbone of JM modified bitumen assemblies: match the felt you choose to the approved list (no GlasPly IV or burn-off-film APP), apply 50 to 70 sq ft per gallon per ply, and keep material at least 60°F for squeegee or trowel work. Prime masonry with JM Asphalt Primer and let it dry fully. If FM Global or UL approval is required, confirm specific application rates in RoofNav or the UL Certifications Directory.
Combustible and an eye, skin and respiratory irritant: apply only in well-ventilated areas, wear rubber gloves and impervious clothing, keep pails sealed and away from open flame, and consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
