Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
High-load plates concentrate pull-out resistance at seam and fastening lines in mechanically attached single-ply systems – match plate and fastener to the membrane specification and deck type. Follow the system's fastening pattern; over- or under-driving fasteners compromises wind performance.
Wear gloves and eye protection when installing metal plates; plate edges and fastener points are sharp.
