Coverage & How Much You Need:
Fastener spacing and density follow the roofing system's specification; box counts (500 or 250) let you estimate quantities from the specified fastener rate per board.
Fit and Compatibility:
For use with GAF commercial roofing assemblies over cementitious wood fiber, poured gypsum and lightweight insulating concrete decks; minimum 1 in. embedment is required. Pair with matching Drill-Tec plates and fasteners where the system calls for them.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: What is included in a box?

Q: What decks do these fasteners work in?
A: They are designed for cementitious wood fiber, poured gypsum decks and lightweight insulating concrete (LWIC).
Q: Will they rust?
A: The tube is G-90 galvanized steel, the disk is Galvalume (AZ-55) coated steel, and the staple is corrosion-coated to prevent corrosion.
Q: How is the disk kept secure?

Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
Select fastener length by totaling the assembly thickness plus the 1 in. minimum embedment into the deck; when in doubt, go one step longer rather than short. The locking staple design helps resist back-out in gypsum and LWIC, where smooth-shank fasteners can loosen. Always follow the membrane manufacturer's fastener pattern and pull-test the deck first to confirm holding power.
Impact-driving fasteners can eject shavings and staples; wear safety glasses and gloves, and keep hands clear of the tool tip.
Order GAF Drill-Tec Locking Impact Nails in the length and box count your deck assembly requires.
