Metal Sales Aluminum Gutter Apron H1.5 Standard, 2-3/4 in. x 1-1/2 in. Roof Edge Flashing
Metal Sales aluminum gutter apron is roof edge flashing that channels rain, snowmelt and ice off the roof and into the gutter, keeping water out of rafter rails, insulation, fascia and soffits. The H1.5 Standard profile measures 2-3/4 in. x 1-1/2 in. and is sold per piece. Choose from White or Black aluminum finishes.
Key Features:
- Channels water out: Directs water from the roof edge into the gutter, away from the fascia.
- Prevents leaks and pooling: Roof edge protection against leaking and pooling from rain, snow and ice.
- Protects the eave: Keeps water from penetrating rafter rails, insulation, fascia and soffits.
- Angled profile: Angled to promote water runoff directly into the gutter.
- Closed hem edges: 1/8 in. closed hem on both planes of the metal for a finished, safe edge.
- Two colors: Offered in White or Black aluminum.

Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
Gutter apron should be installed before the starter shingle and after underlayment, with the lower lip extending well into the gutter trough so wind-driven water cannot pass behind it. Choose Black for dark shingles or dark fascia and White to match white gutters and trim. The closed hem reduces the risk of cut edges at the eave line.
Work at eave height on ladders safely; wear gloves when handling aluminum flashing, as hemmed edges can still abrade skin.
Add Metal Sales aluminum H1.5 gutter apron in White or Black to keep water out of your eaves.
