This kit includes the tools necessary to tone and trace wire on non-active networks. The tone generator provides five distinct tones for exact pair identification and features angled bed-of-nails (ABN) clips to securely attach to wires. An RJ11 plug easily connects to telephone and RJ45 data jacks to tone wire pair. The toner, also, checks continuity and polarity that are indicated by clearly labeled, easy-to-read LEDs. The probe detects the generated tone so that the cable can be located and has an adjustable-volume speaker that amplifies the tone for tracing. The 3.5 mm jack allows for headphones (sold separately) to be attached, muting the speaker for discrete toning or toning in noisy environments. The replaceable, non-metallic durable tip on the probe enables testing in distribution blocks without disturbing other services.
