What to measure before ordering

A slab is the door panel. A prehung unit includes a frame. Record whether you need a slab or a complete unit, and check exactly what the selected product includes.
- Measure the opening and the frame.
Record the width and height in several places, plus the wall or jamb depth. Keep rough-opening measurements separate from the existing door's dimensions. Include the units with every measurement.
- Confirm the swing and the exact model.
Note which side the hinges sit on, the side you are viewing from, and whether the door swings toward or away from you. Confirm handing terminology and required clearances against the manufacturer's documentation for the selected SKU.

The Solid Core Interior Barn Door with Rustic Hardware Kit features a lovely Sandstone Oak K Design that elevates the look of any doorway. It is ideal for use in bedrooms, kitchens, and offices and requires no priming, painting, or staining. The kit includes a bent strap hardware kit and matching handle in a matte black finish, as well as a unique barn door style hardware that allows the door to slide parallel to the wall. With pre-drilled mounting holes and a bottom groove for a floor guide, there is no need for drilling. The kit comes with an unfinished door, rustic matte black bent strap hardware, a rail, and a matching wood backer, making it easy to install in openings between 28 in. and 34 in. wide and with an opening height of 80-1/2 in. The door itself measures 36 in. W x 84 in. H x 1-3/8 in. D while the track hardware measures 78.
