This EZVIZ WiFi security camera also has a microSD card slot for onboard storage of recordings. No more monthly Cloud subscription fees necessary with EZVIZ! Please note that WiFi cameras are not wire free and require a power outlet. That's why this camera comes with a 5 ft. power adapter. The camera is designed to work with your home's WiFi to transmit video and audio to the downloadable app—without the use of wires. But if for some reason your home's WiFi isn't strong enough to capture the camera's signals or you prefer hardwired signals, an Ethernet port is on the camera itself. This is why a waterproofing kit is provided, so you can hardwire this outdoor camera directly to your Ethernet router inside your home, using your own Cat-5 cabling.
